Terms of Service
Last updated 7 August 2026 · FollowSort
These terms apply when you use FollowSort. By entering a handle or making a purchase, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
1. What FollowSort does
You give us a public Instagram handle. We read the list of accounts that handle follows, retrieve each account's public profile information, and use an AI model to group them into topics. You get a free summary; for a one-time fee you get the full sorted list, search, and a CSV export.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram, Meta Platforms, or any of their products. All trademarks belong to their owners.
2. What you need for it to work
- The account must be public. Instagram only reveals a following list to followers, so a private handle cannot be processed. This is a permanent limitation, not a temporary fault, and retrying will not help.
- You should only submit your own handle, or one you have a legitimate reason to analyse. Don't use FollowSort to monitor, profile, or harass anyone.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Price and payment
FollowSort is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and nothing recurring. The price depends on how many public accounts you follow, and is shown to you before you pay:
| Public accounts followed | Price |
|---|---|
| Up to 250 | $5 |
| Up to 500 | $7 |
| Up to 1,500 | $12 |
| Up to 3,500 | $22 |
| Up to 7,500 | $39 |
The price is fixed when your free preview is generated, so what you are quoted is what you are charged. Payments are processed by Stripe in US dollars. We never see your card details.
4. Refunds
Straightforward, because we'd rather not argue about it:
- If we fail to deliver your full results, you get a full refund. Email us and we'll return the payment.
- If the results are delivered but you're unhappy with them, contact us within 14 days and we'll consider a refund case by case.
- We can't refund because an account you follow was private, inactive, or had an empty bio — that's a property of Instagram's data, and the free preview exists so you can see the shape of your results before paying.
5. Accuracy
Topics are assigned by an AI model reading public display names, biographies and categories. It is useful, not authoritative. Accounts with empty or cryptic bios often land in "Other", and some labels will simply be wrong. Don't rely on FollowSort's output for any decision that matters. We provide it as-is, with no warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
"Last posted" figures come from public data at the time we read it and may be out of date.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- submit handles in bulk, or through scripts and automated tools;
- attempt to bypass rate limits or capacity controls;
- resell, redistribute, or publish the output as a dataset;
- use the service to build profiles of people, or for surveillance or harassment;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
We may block access, refuse a run, or refund and cancel if we believe these terms are being broken.
7. Availability
FollowSort is a small service and comes with no uptime guarantee. Runs take minutes, not seconds, because the underlying data has to be fetched and analysed.
To keep costs bounded we apply per-visitor rate limits and a daily capacity ceiling on free previews. When that ceiling is reached, new free previews pause until the next day. Work you have already paid for is never paused by this.
8. Your data and your results
Your results are yours — export and use them as you like, subject to section 6. The site itself, its design, and its code remain ours. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of FollowSort is limited to the amount you actually paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses arising from decisions made on the basis of our output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and disputes will be handled by the courts there.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change. The terms in force when you paid are the ones that apply to that purchase.
